Life in Abundance

I had in interesting encounter with someone online this week. There was someone who filled in the contact form this week. There might be someone out there with similar issues and I would like to help them out as well, so I am going to share my response. For her protection, I have replaced her name with a few ellipses (………)

Hi ………

First of all, I would like to say thank you for having the courage to fill in the contact form. I know it takes a bold step to admit that you need prayer.

Also, thank you for subscribing to my blog. My hope and prayer is that I will write something that will add value to your life.

I will now address certain topics you touched upon in your contact form.

Today I will like to tell you that God is not sitting up in heaven with a thunderbolt trying to punish us for our sins. The single act of Jesus dying for us on the cross changed everything. God is the God of love. There is a scripture I would like to quote you and I quoted it to someone last night in homecell as well. John 10:10 –  “The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. But I have come that you may have life and have so abundantly”. So all the chaos and turmoil that is going around you is not from God, but from the devil. There is another scripture that says that all good and perfect gift is from God.

John 10:10

We as Christians though, have to live out the love that God has for us. We have to realise that we have been given authority and power over the enemy. We have to be bold and courageous. Just like you are by sending me this message.

……….., God loves you so much and He wants the best for us, and gives a life full of abundance and prosperity.

I’m sincerely sorry to hear about the passing of your parents. I know it is the toughest burden to bear. But through that, I would like to quote you another scripture. This scripture is very close to home for me, because when I was 19, I was filled with guilt and condemnation. And when I started quoting this verse over my life, my life changed completely. I could literally feel the chains drop off my heart. 1 Peter 5:7 – “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares for you.”

I am glad your eyes opened in terms of alcohol. Only one person can save and His name is Jesus Christ. ………, cast all your cares upon Him. You will see how God will show up in all His splendor and glory in your life.

Tonight you are going to sleep like a baby in Jesus name. Cause He carried all you cares and worries on the cross.

I am praying for you as I am writing this email.

May God be with you and protect you as He does for me everyday. God is amazing and indeed good. Forever and ever.
