I have written a post on Life and Faith’s Facebook page. Please check it out. It is a basic summary of what God laid upon my heart. https://www.facebook.com/lifeandfaith2
I have written a post about this before. This seems to be coming up in my spirit constantly. The reason could be that I keep on making the same mistake or it could be that people out there that needs to hear this again.
How could our prayers become so selfish sometimes? We pray so much for our blessings, and we forget that people outside are desperate. Desperate to hear The Gospel, the good news. Wanting and needing to be reconciled back unto God. There is a verse that a want to quote that precisely confirms what I want to say. It comes out of Luke 4:18-19:
18“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, o set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Jesus quoted this from the book of Isaiah. Doesn’t this sum up what we should do for other people. To heal the brokenhearted and to set liberty to those who are oppressed.
All I want to do is to make you realize that God has such a massive calling on your life. It does not matter who you. God has called you to heal the brokenhearted. Isn’t that a massive privilege. To help other people.
May the majority of our prayers be for other people and not for our self. That is who I want to be anyway. That is the way I want to be remembered. Someone who lived a life beyond himself.
May I take opportunity to thank everyone who subscribed to my blog. The support is so appreciated. I cannot even describe how grateful I am. My biggest prayer is to keep on providing content that will inspire you to do live full out for Jesus.
Great post about faith and God. I like how you say we should help people and that’s something that’s been on my heart especially during this season where we often focus on our own wants. Thinking about others makes a great difference
