May I take a second to write about how great God is? We are down from time to time, but He still comes and revives our hearts and pours happiness into our lives. We could be nowhere where He wants us to be, and still, He has got a way to lift our hearts and minds towards the future that He will give us.
May I take another second to write about the goodness of God? Not because He has blessed me with material positions, but because He supplies me with my spiritual and emotional needs every day.
As you may have noticed, I love writing about dreams and goals. I love to dream and to fantasize about the destiny that God has for me.
Today, I would like to talk about the second part. The part that happens after dreaming and praying big.
Is dreaming big the singular part we as Children of God should do? Is our job done after thinking big and praying big? Certainly not! We have a saying in the church I attend. “There is a God part and then a man part”. This statement reminds we of the ever popular verse in James 2:17 (AMP)
So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up) by itself is destitute of power (inappropriate, dead)
Destitute of power!!!! This hit me right between the eyes. I want to dream big, but I don’t want my dreams to be empty. Power should be the driving force behind my dreams.
You are responsible for the dream, hopes and desires that the Holy Spirit breathed into your life. Yes, we must pray big, but we should also work at our dreams every single day. This is the man part in my earlier quote. That is our responsibility as Christians. Dreaming big alone does not give us the insurance of victory. Make that dream a reality through working on it constantly. Grind it out every day, even when inspiration is like water in a dessert.
God places certain talents in our hands. Like a seed. Our responsibility is to water the plant; and to take care of the seed until that seed is blossomed into a beautiful plant.
I had days when getting out of bed is a mission in itself. Days like that will come. Those days are important for success. Those are the days when your character gets stronger, those are the days when you grow as a person.
To dream big is great. What makes it even better is that we can make that dream a reality with constant hard work.
If you haven’t reached your goals yet. Keep going at it; and keep on praying. With God by your side, those dreams will ultimately become your reality. As long as you do your part and tap into Him constantly, nothing that will stand in your way.
Thank you, Lord for Your goodness, grace and mercy. I pray today that the Holy Spirit will give me the supernatural ability to work hard at my goals every day. I pray discipline over my life. Thank you for diligence and thank you that my dreams will manifest in the natural. I pray, and I believe through the precious blood of Jesus. Amen
